Perhaps your standard blinds aren’t enough to keep them out, or you’ve tried a fly screen curtain for the back door but still, your house is full of insects.
The best solution is one that is fully framed, where the specially designed fly mesh fabric is held securely into a channel. This closes any gaps that a standard blind or curtain would leave and prevents insects from coming through.
The fabric being held in the blind frame also means that you can open your window or door behind the blind and it will stay in place.

KuroLok Fly Screen Blinds
Our KuroLok system is perfect for this scenario. Zipped fabric retention is what sets KuroLok apart. The blind fabric is locked into the side channels using zip-edge technology. This removes the challenge, and associated maintenance issues, of fabric coming out of the side channels.
The fabric is fully retained down both sides which allows for blinds to be installed at up to 30 degrees off the vertical and still function perfectly; an ideal solution for sloping glazing. The headbox and side channels can also be recessed into walls or ceilings for the ultimate built-in look.
This system is by far the most effective solution for bug protection for your windows.
The fabric we use is a specially designed fly mesh which features a small, tight weave that prevents insects from coming through. The neutral grey colour of this fabric won’t clash with any home décor and will be discreet in your window. The fabric is almost invisible in the window so it doesn’t spoil the view out.
Unlike traditional insect screens, the KuroLok Fly Screen blind can be chain operated, crank-operated or motorised – hardwired and battery! This means you could open and close your fly screens with a handheld remote without having to leave your sofa, even if you don’t have wiring in place.

Centor S2/S4 for French Doors & Bifolds
Whether you are renovating or building, creating a seamless inside-outside living experience is important in any modern home. The Centor S2 & S4 Fly Screens from Umbra offer insect protection, fresh air, breezes and uninterrupted views.
These systems are also safe for use in a family home, with no visible wires or cords that could be a hazard. Centor’s unique load balancing technology allows the screen to glide smoothly across the whole door opening to effortlessly stop at any desired position. The lightweight operation means the screen can be operated from any height with one hand, so even the youngest of the family can close the blind.
When not in use, the screen retracts discreetly into the frame removing visual distractions to the view outside whilst also protecting it from damage, dust or dirt. This is especially important for a seasonally used product. The fabric is fully retained on all sizes, allowing total control of insects.
Centor screens can be mounted inside or outside, wherever you have space, and can span up to 9 metres wide!
Centor systems have two fly mesh fabrics to choose from – standard and tight weave. Both fabrics are made of durable polyester/PVC so they can withstand a lot before they start showing signs of wear and tear.
