Design Challenge
A blackout shading solution was needed for this residential building but it was important that the blinds matched the industrial character of the property. Due to the building’s design there were insufficient fixing grounds for the side channels of a blind, which presented an installation challenge for our customer.
Solution
KuroLok vertical roller blinds and KuroLok RL horizontal rooflight roller blinds were supplied in a special paint finish to match the look and feel of the exposed metalwork that featured throughout the building’s architecture. The blinds were motorised so that no handles or chains would be on view to disturb the aesthetics of the window design. We also created some bespoke fixing brackets for the side channels to help our client overcome the problem of poor fixing grounds.
