The redevelopment of Barlby Primary School was commissioned by The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea as part of the council’s continued commitment to education and special needs within the Borough.
Overview
Project details:
- Existing school building expanded to create two schools in a shared building; the Primary School and the facilities for students with additional needs
- Contains a variety of outdoor spaces including roof terraces, further support learning and secure play
- Internal colour scheme designed with students with sensory perception concerns in mind, and exterior designed to suit surrounding conservation area

Shading Details:
- 184 Helios and Sirios heavy-duty roller blinds
- Child-safe crank handle operation on most blinds, with some blinds using Vestamatic VRS motors
- Combination of PVC blackout and Screen Nature Ultimetal 3% fabric
