Design Challenge
With a campus this large, a huge number of windows was inevitable; classrooms needing shading and laboratories needing complete light exclusion. The project had a range of window requirements and a tight budget, so a variety of shading solutions were needed.
Solution
For the smaller windows, where chain operated roller blinds were sufficient, the Solaris roller blind system was perfect for keeping costs down. For the larger areas of glazing Helios roller blinds were installed to shade windows up to 4m x 4m. In the laboratories, Kuro blackout blinds were supplied to provide a cost-effective solution for light exclusion.
