High-end Residential Property
We were asked by Technoshade to provide blinds for this high-end residential property, which has large bi-fold doors that look out over the expansive garden and let in lots of natural light.

Design Challenge
The challenge with this project was finding a solution that not only provided the glare/heat protection and heat insulation that the client required, but also providing a neat solution that wouldn’t stand out in their modern living space. It had to be functional whilst still looking smart. There was also the challenge of shading bi-fold doors which had protruding handles.
Solution
We provided our large Helios system to cover the doors. They had square cassettes that were fixed above the doors which means that nothing except the hem bar is visible when the blind is open. The modern profile of the cassette head-box blends in with the smooth plastered window reveals. For the hem bar, we used our PK-S hem bar which is a fabric wrapped flat bar that looks discreet and blends in with the blind. The blinds are powered by quiet Somfy Sonesse 40 RTS motors that are controlled via a remote, so all blinds can be operated at once or they can be operated individually. The screen fabric on these blinds ensures that there is still a view out of the window but also that glare and heat from the sun are kept out during the day and that the house is insulated at night.
