Design Challenge
This project required blinds that could be manually controlled via a key zone switch, and some blinds would also need to be connected to a BMS system, designed by VM Brown, that would instruct the blinds to open in the event of the vents opening or fire alarm going off.
Solution
We supplied our Helios and KuroLok RL systems with Nice E-Edge SI DC motors which are powered with 24v continuous power and controlled via the dry contact terminal on the head of the motor. These motors could be connected to the BMS system also which would allow the required override controls when the fire alarm is activated.
