Design Challenge
With over 1600 blinds required, there were many needs that had to be fulfilled – from large window sizes to high level shading where there was no mains power.
Solution
We supplied large Helios rollers to shade high level windows. There was no power to these windows so the blinds were crank operated with extended crank shafts to allow manual operation from the room below. Kuro fully framed blackout blinds were supplied for room darkening during audio visual presentations, powder coated to blend in with the window frames.
Sirios dimout roller blinds for shading and privacy went into the student bedrooms and Sirios sunscreen blinds were installed in some of the learning areas to attenuate solar glare whilst maintaining the stunning views across Swansea Bay. Kuro blackout blinds and Sirios sunscreen blinds were supplied in pairs for many windows where both blackout and glare reduction were required.
